Selection Group Management


  • Where to find it:


    • Selection Groups Palette / Right Mouse Click
    • Main Window / Extension Pack / Selection Groups / 


  • Shortcut: (unassigned, use "Edit / Shortcuts" to assign)




Extension Pack adds a variety of useful options to the right mouse click dialog in the selection group palette.







Will hide or show all Selection Groups contents in the viewport.



All Selection Groups except the selected one will be hidden



Will toggle all Selection Groups in the list to their opposite visibility state. Hidden ones become visible, visible ones

become hidden



Will Lock/Unlock all Selection Groups in the List.



Will delete all Selection Groups from the list that contain a specific string in their name




Will delete all (Face) Selection Groups that no longer belong to any Object or Object Version in your Scene



Will delete all Selection Groups or all Selection Groups of a certain Type




Allows you to rename selection groups by search & replace methods.

To delete parts you were searching for leave 'Replace with' empty






The Multi Rename Tool allows you to batch rename selection groups


  • Add Prefix

Will add the given string to the start of each Selection Group.


  • Add Suffix

Will add the given string to the end of each Selection Group.


  • Remove Prefix

Will remove the given string out of a Group name, if the Group name does start with that string


  • Remove Suffix

Will remove the given string out of a Group name, if the Group name does end with that string


  • Replace / with

Will search and replace a string with another one


  • Remove All

Will remove all words entered from Group names. Use a comma (',') for multiple words


  • Remove trailing Characters

Will remove x amount of characters from the end of a Group name. 


  • Auto Remove trailing Digits

When ticked on all trailing digits and excess whitespaces will be removed from the end of Group Names.

Useful to quickly and easily get rid of all incremental Group  numbering

  • Case sensitive

When ticked all string based operations are run case-sensitive.


  • Only selected Groups

When ticked only selected Groups will be affected by name changes

Otherwise all Groups in the Selection Group list will be evaluated




Allows you to set/clear an Override Color for Material ID Channel baking.
