Presets

Function

Presets allow you to store and recall a Baking Setup.

Presets can be saved manually, added via Environment Variables (e.g. to have access to each others baker settings in a team) or

may be added automatically by the Substance Baker Bridge.

Presets are usually saved into your Mari User Directory in a Subfolder SAT_Baker_Presets

Types of Presets

  • Automatically added Presets

The Substance Baker Bridge automatically maintains two presets:

    • Last Used (Current Project)

This preset always contains the last settings and bakers that were used to bake in the currently open Mari Project.

It includes your selection of Mari Objects and High Definition Objects.

The preset is stored within your mari project directory.

If you have not yet baked in the currently open project, it does not exist.

    • Last Used (Any Project)

This preset always contains the last settings that were used to bake in any project.

Meaning if you bake in Project A and then open Project B, selecting this preset will restore the settings used

in Project A.

The Preset is non-project specific, meaning only sliders, values and bakers but no object selections are stored.

The Preset is saved into your Mari User Directory in a Subfolder SAT_Baker_Presets

  • User Added Presets

User added Presets can be used to quickly store a Bake Configuration.

Bake configurations are non-project specific, meaning only sliders, values and bakers but no object selections are stored.

The Preset is saved into your Mari User Directory in a Subfolder SAT_Baker_Presets

  • Pipeline Presets via Environment Variable

Pipeline Presets are presets that have been added on Mari Startup via the Environment Variable

    • MARI_EP_SUBSTANCE_BAKER_PRESET_FOLDER

Pipeline Presets are prefixed with [Pipeline] and cannot be deleted, overwritten or renamed with the Preset Tools.

Newly created presets can be easily converted to pipeline presets by going to the location of locally stored presets ()

and copy pasting the newly saved preset file into the Folder specified by the Environment Variable
